As Lisa Adams discovered when her realtor insisted she visit the home. Lisa was not interested in a home without a basement or the right number of bedrooms, but when she stood in the doorway at 1002 Highland View, it took less than 30 seconds to make her decision. When you visit the home you’ll understand why. A long hallway, Ten-foot ceilings, large windows, and doors, all open this home up to its palatial potential. In fact, there were so many doors Lisa had to take a few out of the house. She saved them though well aware of what valuable timepieces they are. The bulk of Lisa’s renovations are a demonstration of how you can upgrade the style of home simply by applying the right paint and molding. When she began work on the kitchen, she didn’t want to get rid of the real wood cabinets though they were not her taste, so she framed them with molding and painted them white. It’s a simple solution with outstanding results. It saved her money too, which she put toward the magnificent cement countertops. High cabinets are placed discretely throughout the house for extra storage. Her washer and dryer are tucked in a cabinet as well over counter space that doubles as a bar when company comes. The garden room was originally a screened in porch that she enclosed. The furnishings throughout are one-of-a-kind antiques pulled together using an exquisite sense of design that Lisa earned from years in the fashion industry. The English garden out back may look like she’s put tons of work into it, but she promises it is a low maintenance green garden.
